IEG has more than 400,000 customers connected to its networks and has been supplying gas in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man for over 170 years.
In 2007 IEG entered the electricity distribution business in the UK through a subsidiary of GTC.
IEG was delisted in May 2005 from the London Stock Exchange and the Channel Islands Stock Exchange as a result of a successful take-over bid by Babcock and Brown Infrastructure.
